Hi there! I’m Caitlin, co-founder of Crate & Candle, and I’m thrilled to help create a candlelit ambiance that takes your event to the next level. The idea for Crate & Candle came when I was planning my own wedding. I envisioned luxurious, elegant candlelight transforming the space, but I couldn’t find anyone offering the kind of curated designs I had in mind. With my background in supply chain, a knack for problem-solving, and an unrelenting determination to make things happen, I turned that vision into a company that helps clients create unforgettable moments.
My supply chain expertise gives me a unique edge in this industry. I thrive on finding creative solutions, whether it’s sourcing hard-to-find materials, curating custom designs, or overcoming last-minute challenges. I’m a firm believer that there’s always a way, and my passion for problem-solving means no detail is ever overlooked. This determination, combined with my love for design, allows me to bring my clients’ dreams to life with ease and elegance.
When I’m not designing dreamy event spaces, you’ll find me with my husband Nathan, our lively son Bentley, and our sweet Lab, Sadie. We’re a sports-loving family, especially when it comes to football, and you’ll often find us cheering from the sidelines. We also love traveling, exploring the outdoors, and soaking up family time on vacations.

Meet Marissa
Hi, I’m Marissa, co-founder of Crate & Candle, and I’m thrilled to help bring your vision to life with the perfect touch of candlelit elegance. My journey into this business began when Caitlin introduced me to her brilliant idea of creating a luxury candle and decor rental company. As soon as I heard it, I knew it was something special, and I jumped at the opportunity to be part of it.
With a Bachelor’s in Hospitality and years of experience in event supervision, I’ve had the privilege of working hundreds of weddings and special events. My time at various hotel chains has given me a deep understanding of the importance of seamless coordination, the tight timelines of weddings, and the safety considerations venues have when it comes to live flame. I’m passionate about making each event perfect and helping couples create an unforgettable experience.
In addition to my event expertise, my background in outside sales allows me to connect with brides, planners, and florists, ensuring that we’re always delivering a personal touch and exceptional service. I truly love working with couples to develop their vision, then seeing it come to life in ways that exceed their expectations.
When I’m not helping design breathtaking event spaces, you can find me outdoors with my husband, Manuel, and our two dogs, Rocket and Drax. We love spending time at the lake, enjoying the fresh air, and soaking up life’s little moments.
